Somerset is a county of huge variety- from the flat marshlands of the Levels and Moors to the steep cliffs of the Mendips or the rolling landscape of Exmoor, we have plenty to offer.

The Countyof Somerset is a rural region in the southwest of England, but there’s a lot more to do than go to farms. This county has a splendid historical past and provides many beautiful visiting opportunities.

Wookey Hole caves have been inhabited by humans for 50,000 years and are now considered to generally be haunted by numerous ghosts. Young people of all ages will delight in the magnificent caves and tales,  hall of mirrors, and crazy golf course. There’s also a huge collection of life-size dinosaur models and look out for the witch!

Youngsters will love going to the Royal Navy museum at Yeovilton. Here, you can step on board a British-built Concorde. You are able to also appreciate an encounter in a helicopter during the experience.

The splendid and delicious tradition of cider making is one of the finest traditions of Somerset. Leave the children at home and appreciate the farm’s traditional,  ciders. Explore antique cider presses and equipment, a walk via the orchards, along with a fine lunch of local produce.

Seven lovely beaches lie just beyond the estuary from the River Axe. Throughout the summer, kids can appreciate donkey rides on the sand at the big, primary beach at Burnham. Appreciate a quiet morning of bird watching at South Beach or the natural boating pool of North Beach, all close to shops and pubs.

This may be the UK’s biggest gorge cleaved through the hills northeast of the village Cheddar. At the bottom from the impressive gorge, are the Cheddar Caves. Take tours of Gough’s Cave, Cox’s Cave, walk three miles towards the top of the gorge, or take 274 steps towards the top of the lookout tower.

As soon as, a number of cheese makers offered authentic slabs of Britain’s favourite cheese in Cheddar. Today, the only organization left within the village is Cheddar gorge Cheese Organization. Watch the numerous stages of cheese making, enjoy the tasting bar, and buy some cheese and local pickles to take house.

Somerset Auctions and Somerset Online Auctions have local ebay auctions for easy pickup.
