American Graffiti

My favorite movie of all time if American Graffiti. This is probably because the story is based on a time in the early sixties in my hometown of Modesto, California. The movie was written and directed by a man named George Lucas. He is also from Modesto so he really had lot of personal knowledge about growing up the Modesto. I like to get online a lot with our Modesto Clear Internet, and I found out a lot about the movie’s history and also about how we celebrate Graffiti Summer every year. The movie is based on the year 1962 the same year that George Lucas graduated from high school. A lot of popular music from that time period is used in the movie. Each scene has a different song that plays in the background, and if you pay attention you will find that each scene is about the same length as the song that is played. I think that is really cool the way they can bring out certain aspects of a period of time and put it to music from that era. The movie ended up winning all kinds of awards, and Lucas wrote the movie when he had only been out of high school ten years.
